Social Studies 3

Social studies is a required area of study in Saskatchewan’s Curriculum. The aim of the curriculum is to help all Saskatchewan students to develop into active participants and citizens in an inclusive, culturally diverse, interdependent world.

The course includes four units study. For each unit, detailed lesson plans will be provided. Each lesson plan includes a written plan, an instructional video, handouts, and assessment tool. These materials can be accessed on Moodle or a print copy can also be provided.

          1.  Comparing Rural and Urban Communities
          2.  Comparing Provinces:  Saskatchewan to Nova Scotia
          3.  Comparing Countries:  Canada to Mexico
          4.  Comparing Then and Now:  The Vikings
