***Important***  Students outside of Sun West will need to provide a CWEX (Career Work Experience Teacher) to meet the legal requirements of the work study component as described in the PAA curriculum.

Students are responsible for any necessary workplace attire/materials (ex. work boots, tools, etc).

For Practical and Applied Arts courses with a work placement, additional fees and scheduled site visits may be required. We encourage all learners, parents, mentors and, where appropriate, school-based administrators to familiarize themselves with our work placement policies.

Mechanics A20 exposes the student into the inner workings of the automobile. This 45-50 hour theory component is combined with a 50- 55 hour Work Study. The Work Study component is set up with the school Career and Work Exploration teacher and provides the student with hands-on experience in the automotive repair industry.  Mechanics 20A is an Intermediate level course that requires students to demonstrate practical skills in combination with automotive repair theory.

*Note - Final Exams will require supervision.  Details will follow from your instructor if you choose to register.
