Delivery Method: Online Asynchronous

Leadership 30 allows students to develop leadership skills that will prepare them for the 21st century. Along with these skills, students will analyze new research in the areas of positive psychology, success, and emotional intelligence. Students will participate in testing that will allow them to see who they are as learners and leaders. Students have the potential to become successful leaders through hands-on application, mentorship, inquiry, and project-based learning. This course will provide students with a solid foundation for life, work, and citizenship.

Goals

The goals of the Leadership course are to develop:

  • Understanding of leadership theories, including real-life examples of leaders
  • Awareness of one’s own leadership styles and skills, and to improve these skills
  • Teamwork skills, as both a leader and a member
  • Communication skills that are essential to leadership and teamwork
  • Problem-solving skills
  • A final project that addresses a need
