Kindergarten Social Studies

Delivery Overview: Online Asynchronous

Social Studies is a required area of study in Saskatchewan’s Curriculum.  The purpose of the curriculum is to help all Saskatchewan students to know the past, understand the present, think about how they will influence the future and recognize how the past, present, and future are connected.

In Kindergarten Social Studies, the child will explore their relationships with people, the land, and their communities.  First, they will look at how people are the same yet unique.   The child will also learn how people and their natural and constructed environments are connected. Interactions, rules, and responsibilities will also be looked at.  Treaty education is interwoven throughout as the child explores the importance of sharing, promises, and making and keeping agreements.
