This course can be found on Moodle. English Language Arts is a required area of study in Saskatchewan’s Core Curriculum. The aim of the curriculum is to help students understand and appreciate language, and to use it confidently and competently in a variety of situations for learning, communication, work, life, and personal satisfaction.

The required minutes for ELA are approximately 60 minutes each day.

This course focuses on developing strategies for skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking, representing, and viewing. It uses one main anthology of literature along with various internet activities. Included are assessment tools, videos to teach specific concepts, and opportunities to differentiate and extend learning.
