Construction 10 is the first of two courses that introduce the construction trade. In this course, learners study various types of wood and their characteristics and functionality as a building material. We will also look at other materials, tools and processes used in basic construction and foundation building.

By the end of the course, learners must be able to identify and demonstrate safe handling practices for hand and power tools and understand basic project estimating and budgeting skills.

Construction 10 includes a theory component and a work placement component. Learn more about work placements.
